typography my love.

if it hasn't made clear enough, i'm a typography fanatic. what is typography you ask? well, it's literally type design. fonts. my favourite being helvetica neue ultralight.. anywho. i felt like sharing this video, look closely. i'm enjoying the smooth sounds, too.

brand: One Teaspoon

yummy. just look at them skulls. all photos off the one teaspoon website

so i did some browsing. and i somehow got to one of the souther hemisphere's most adored labels, one teaspoon. their latest collection has me craving shopping, something i rarely do. there's a certain girly-ness to the shapes, teamed with rocker-cool colours and attitude. love. not to mention the lighting of the shoot really emphasises the lovely silhouettes of the almost balloon-like dresses. i'd love to own one.

Kenzo Resort 2011.

at first i wasn’t so sure. from what i could see from the thumbnails on style.com, i thought, "i probably won't like it." but i was wrong, wrongwrongwrong. in fact, as i clicked the ‘next’ button, i was completely captivated by the bright florals Kenzo had to offer. [[previously, i wasn't a complete Kenzo fan]]

so yes, Kenzo is typically reliant on prints, but this time the big florals really got to me. 

the combination of nudes and florals, the splatter of a print here and there, and the bright colours meant that Kenzo quickly made it to the top of my list. obviously, having to incorporate current trends, Kenzo’s colour palette was entirely different to what i’d previously browsed. so yes, this came out about two months ago, and yes, i didn’t do my research soon enough, but hey! it’s spring in Australia now, so  i guess this is only fitting. anyways, enough of my ramblings…enjoy the pretty pictures off style.com!

i vow to recreate that skirt in the second last photo. not to mention, this collection has me thinking that clogs aren't so bad anymore... but i'm still not sure.

hey, they make good song lyrics. they may just become a song. when i have time. 

have you ever had that feeling where everything is so unbelievably overwhelming, and you just don't want to deal with it? and what if there are things in your life, that make you more than happy, yet you're restrained from them? 

right now i just want to break free. i want something in the world to happen, something so life changing that i might just wake up and want to do something about something. anything. i would've bothered to give you all a pretty outfit post today. but i wasn't. my hair was closer to kurt cobain's level of greasiness. maybe that's why. and i'm letting radiohead lift and deflate my spirits all at once. something's wrong, but i'm not sure what. 

i would've joined a committee at school, but my initiative levels just weren't picking up. i want to know there's someone out there feeling what i am. and i know there's only one person i can talk to.

but i can't because i'm trapped in this space i call home. 

after all, i'm not a vegetable.

it's been a long time since i checked my horoscope. believe it or not, i actually believe in it most of the time. i'm not feeling used or deceived. but this surprisingly is a time where i'm finding i'm getting a lot inspiration, like the poem i wrote and posted yesterday, which i received some lovely comments regarding. so what now, a song? that may just work. perhaps this hectic period will pay off in a pleasant way. if only i could see you now...

i just can't wait for junk's ss/10 to hit stores. already sydney's getting a huge vibe of warm weather, and today, being a sunday, i've completely re-done my wardrobe, so that the warmer clothes are out front. 

seen throughout this collection is one main feature: versatility. every piece can be styled in so many ways, and junk's affordability makes it all the better. [[how cute are those lace shorts?!]]

the last look is basic, yet effective, the key to all of the brand's styles.

it's only appropriate..

funny thing is, this picture was accidental. i love it.

i know i'm starting to get a bit off-track with all my posts seemingly a little far from fashion.. however, this can be justified, [[i think]]. 

so on sunday, i happened to participate in walk against warming, in sydney.

with the election here in australia tomorrow, i felt it was only appropriate that i share with you some of the photos i took that day. i've decided that after this lot, i'm going to stop using the strange pinky-toned pictures and perhaps go back to normal. or black + white. we'll see. 

the ideas proposed at the walk were immensely intriguing [[note the alliteration]], and honestly, i believe that the current topic to tackle is climate change. it is the seminal problem for many other issues, 

the global food crisis being one example. it seems all too distressing that while there are one billion + people out there starving, i'm having afternoon tea. i shall be ashamed. 

no one knows the outcome for tomorrow's election. i just hope that the candidates have in mind a radical plan to help this country make some radical changes.

i'm in need of some basics that i can wear over anything/under anything. thoughts? 

i'm dying for the skirt... chiffon, it's so pretty... i was considering making my own, as well.

not only those, but i've also been considering a Pixies Doolittle record/Pink Floyd record for some time now. maybe even both. i need pocket money! perhaps i should get a job?
